They are coming back! Yesterday, Vicki Gunvalson from The Real Housewives of Orange County announced on Twitter that season 8 of the series will be back on April 1st.

You may have also noticed a beautiful brunette hanging out with the cast lately. For example, in the photos (in my previous article) featuring the cast dress shopping with Tamra Barney for her up and coming wedding, you see a mysterious woman ( CG4PR.com ) Thanks to some recent announcements, I now know that the new woman is named, Lydia McLaughlin. I am also happy to report that Lydia McLaughlin is the newest cast member on The Real Housewives of Orange County.
Today, I am going to introduce you to Lydia McLaughlin herself. Lydia is not only beautiful, but she is also talented. Lydia McLaughlin New Cast Member On The Real Housewives Of OC
When you visit Lydia’s website you will notice that she is not shy about sharing photos of her family. She has a photo up of her family from their recent trip to Laguna Beach. Her kids are adorable, her man (Doug) is handsome, and their dog is very cute to boot. Now, a picture can say “1,000 words,” but let’s delve deeper in to the world on Lydia McLaughlin. Just what makes her qualified to be the newest cast member on the hit show by Bravo?
First, as reported she already has a pre-existing relationship with many of the cast members. Lydia is more than a traditional housewife. She is a business owner, plus a fashion and lifestyle editor for Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine. In fact, if the rumors are true, Lydia has a relationship with many of the cast members from The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills too. Secondly, Lydia is a jewelry designer. She owns Lydia M. Jewelry, and her pieces are to die for. In order to describe her jewelry line let’s allow Lydia to speak for herself. Lydia’s jewelry ranges in price from $60 to well over $400 per piece. For example, her Swarovski crystal, and leather “Hero” bracelet is only $60 (see photo below). However, her gorgeous “Selene” necklace is also sparkling with crystals, but it will cost you $408. In addition, Lydia designs cute pet jewelry. Lastly, Lydia gives back. On her jewelry website we are introduced to her cause. She supports The Mission of International Sanctuary which is an advocate “for the exploited people of the world, to educate the public about human trafficking and it’s prevention, and to be instrumental in providing survivors the means to be reintegrated as valued members of a community. ” I must admit that Lydia McLaughlin is the first celebrity / reality TV star (that I know of) to speak out against human trafficking. There may be other celebrities who support this worthy cause, but it is refreshing to find someone like Lydia who is willing to educate us on this particular non-profit, and make a difference.

I believe that Lydia McLaughlin will be a breath of fresh air on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Right now, I bet she is learning the Twitter ropes (new celebrities get Tweeted like crazy), and she is preparing for The Real Housewives of Orange County to start airing on April 1st. I wonder if she knows how much her life is about to change? Crazy supporters, insane haters, Lydia’s world will never be the same once the show airs.
