So many people think about starring on a reality T.V. show. Is it worth it? In light of the fact that Brandi Glanville from the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills told Howard Stern (yesterday) how much money the cast members make, I thought I would divulge some more money secrets. Is every reality TV star wealthy? I can not speak for everyone, but let’s see how much money The Real Housewives pocket, look at the net worth of Storage Wars cast members, and more.

First up, Brandi Glanville spilled the beans (again). Yesterday, she told Howard Stern that each full-time cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills gets paid $250,000 per season. Glanville also noted that she only made $18,000 for her first season as a supporting cast member. The word “only” can be perceived in two ways. $18k is not enough to keep a house running in Beverly Hills. On the other hand, $18k is a lot of money to earn for simply hanging out with your friends. Well, and fighting every now and again.

So what is Brandi Glanville’s net worth in total? According to an article on CelebrityNetworth.com , a couple of years ago Brandi was worth a cool $4.7 million. Not including what she makes for filming. This means as of early 2012 Brandi Glanville’s net worth was $5million. With more seasons under her belt, and a new book I am sure that her net worth has increased. Much of her money initially (allegedly) came from her divorce from actor Eddie Cibrian who is worth $12 million . Cibrian is married to LeAnn Rimes who is worth an estimated $38 million!!!

Now, you do not simply get rich by starring on a reality TV show. The new Real Housewives of Orange County star, Lydia McLaughlin comes with money. Lydia is a successful jewelry designer, and lifestyle magazine editor. In addition, she is married to Doug McLaughlin who owns an art gallery, and is a successful web designer. Therefore, Lydia ALREADY has a net worth of $15 million! Not to mention, the fact that she will be paid for starring on The Real Housewives Of Orange County as well.

Now, let’s switch gears and look at another one of my favorite shows (that you need money to star on), Storage Wars. According to CelebrityNetworth.com The ex bully / star of Storage Wars, Dave Hester is worth an estimated $3 million. In turn co-stars Brandi Passante and husband Jarod Schultz are worth $700k . Still not too bad.

In conclusion, you may have to pay to play. If you want to be on a ritzy show such as The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills you may need to come in with some money. Next, in order to buy storage lockers on shows such as Storage Wars you will also need to have money to make money. Of course not all reality T.V. shows are like that. You could star on a show like Honey Boo Boo where the family came from a modest financial background. The family is paid $50,000 per episode, and Honey herself (Alana Thompson) has a net worth of $300k. Not too bad. I may change my mind about starring on reality T.V. (kidding).
